Join us for the 12th anniversary of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®. On Thursday, October 19, children and adults around the world will highlight the importance of children’s literacy by participating in the world’s largest shared reading experience. This year’s campaign book, Quackers, by Liz Wong , is a delightful story about a kitten who grows up believing he's a duck, until the day he meets another kitten. What follows is a sweet tale about understanding, acceptance, and learning that it's okay to be whoever you want to be. Guest Reader: Brittany Mayweather, Mulberry Elementary. Thursday only, a special reading of the book will air on GCPS TV at 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm and 7:30 pm.
