Procedure to Address the Board


The agenda is prepared in advance of each meeting. Anyone wishing to speak before the Board must inform the Superintendent's Office in writing by noon on the Monday immediately prior to the Board meeting. To submit a request to address the Board, use the following link:

Requests also may be submitted to the attention of the Superintendent's Office at 437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, Suwanee, GA, 30024-2978; by fax to 678-301-6030; or by e-mail to MySchoolBoard@gwinnett.k12.ga.us. Individuals requesting to speak to the Board will be notified by the Coordinator of Board Services that the request has been received. The speaker's information form will be forwarded to individuals who submit a request to speak by means other than the link provided above. Once a citizen has notified the Superintendent's Office of his or her intent to speak (by noon on Monday prior to the Board meeting), he or she has until 5 p.m. on that day to submit the completed request form.

Additionally, prior to each monthly Board meeting, a public forum is held from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. for individuals who have not signed up to be on the agenda but who wish to address the Board. A sign-up sheet is available in the lobby that night for individuals wishing to sign up for the public forum.
