North Gwinnett Dance - Chasing Vanity

On April 10, 2015 the South Gwinnett High School Dance Program competed in the Showstopper Regional Dance Competition held at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. Showstopper is one of the largest and oldest dance competitions in the nation. With groups ranging from Mini (8yrs and under) to Senior (15-19 Yrs. old). This year, there were approximately 40 dance studios from around the region involved.
In the Senior division, SGHS Dance placed First in the Senior Large Group Performance division as well as First Place in the Senior Duet/Trio Performance division. The program also placed 9th and 10th in the Senior Duet/Trio Advanced division with two separate pieces. Student, Jaelyn Campbell placed 9th place overall in the Teen Solo Performance division. Overall, the South Gwinnett Dance Program brought home 4 Platinum Awards and 4 Gold Awards! This achievement automatically qualifies them to compete on the National level this summer.
