How do I apply for substitute positions with Gwinnett County Public Schools?

I submitted a substitute application, but have not yet heard back. Who should I contact?
Once your substitute application is completed, you will be contacted by the Substitute Management Office regarding next steps. You may also call 678-301-6140 or 678-301-6197 to check on the status of your substitute application.
Now that I have attended Substitute Teacher Orientation, what is the next step?
Your approval letter will be e-mailed and mailed within approximately 3 business days once we receive employee clearance for hire. Once you receive your approval letter, you are eligible to start substituting in the district.
How can I change my contact information (i.e. name, address, telephone number)?
Please complete a Substitute - Employee Data Change form. You may fax the completed form to the number indicated on the bottom of the form.
When can I expect to receive my paycheck?
Substitutes are paid monthly on the last business day of the month. Please click here to access the Substitute Payroll Schedule.
I am allowed to substitute teach if I am completing my student teaching?
Student teachers are not permitted to substitute teach while completing their student teaching program. Once your program has been completed, you may contact the Substitute Management Office for application steps.
