GCPS high schools rated among the best in state and nation

     Gwinnett School of Mathematics Science and Technology (GSMST) heads a list of Gwinnett County public high schools named among the best in the state and nation. U.S. News & World Report evaluated data on more than 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. More than 17,700 public high schools were ranked on six factors; college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate. College readiness measures participation and performance on AP and IB exams.

     Three Gwinnett schools cracked the top-25 list in Georgia with GSMST ranked as the best high school in Georgia and the 12th best in the United States. North Gwinnett High School is listed as the 18th best high school in the state and 514th nationally. And Brookwood High School garnered the 25th spot on the Georgia list and is 717th in the nation. Overall, 10 GCPS high schools ranked in the top 50 statewide. GCPS schools included in the 2020 Best High Schools rankings are:
