Principals named for Berkeley Lake, Gwin Oaks, and Head

     Three school leadership positions have been filled through transfers within the district. Dr. Craig Barlow, currently an assistant superintendent for elementary schools, has been named principal of Gwin Oaks Elementary School; Lisa Marie Johnson, principal of Lawrenceville Elementary School, will be the principal of Head Elementary School; and Dr. Lesley Pendleton, currently an assistant principal at North Gwinnett Middle School, will become the new principal of Berkeley Lake Elementary School. Dr. Pendleton will succeed Dr. Susan Bearse who is retiring as the school’s principal in June. The other two appointments fill vacancies created as the principals of those schools transition to other principal positions within the district. All of these appointments are effective July 3, 2017.
