Gwinnett school to host free literacy event for educators

     On Saturday, September 22, Freeman’s Mill Elementary School will host a nErDcampGa literacy event for educators from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Doors open at 7:45 a.m.

     A nErDcamp is a free event that brings together teachers, librarians, authors and illustrators of children’s books from around the state to discuss reading, writing, and books. The event will include scheduled sessions with popular children’s authors and illustrators as well settings where participants are encouraged to lead discussion groups. An author meet and greet is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

     The following authors and illustrators are scheduled to appear at the 2018 nErDcamp:

     Freeman’s Mill Elementary School is located at 2303 Old Peachtreee Rd in Lawrenceville.
