Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) celebrates our educators and the work they do to deliver on The Promise of Gwinnett! We know that what happens each and every day in the classroom helps our students to fulfill their promise. That is one reason why GCPS created a Teacher Attendance Recognition Program three years ago to recognize teachers who have perfect attendance each school year. In 2017–18, a group of 300 Gwinnett teachers met the perfect attendance criteria. The names of these teachers are listed below. Individually, they will be recognized as part of the October and November 2018 meetings of the Gwinnett County Board of Education. Elementary and middle school teachers were honored in October and high school teachers with perfect attendance last year will be honored at the November 16 School Board meeting.

As part of the Teacher Attendance Recognition Program, the school system also honors the elementary, middle, and high schools with the highest teacher attendance rate, with the school with the highest overall teacher attendance rate awarded the Superintendent’s Cup. Those honors for this past year go to Gwin Oaks Elementary School, Dacula Middle School, and Mill Creek High School, with Gwin Oaks Elementary winning the Superintendent’s Cup for the second consecutive year.

GCPS salutes its teachers who come to work every day, acknowledging that their consistent presence in the classroom is a foundational premise to student success. No question about it... These teachers deliver on The Promise of Gwinnett every day, making a difference in the lives of students!
