GCPS Summer School Programs

Summer learning opportunities are available for a fee for high school students through Gwinnett Online Campus (deadline: May 24) and Face-to-Face classes (deadline: June 1). Rising 9th graders may register for Health and Personal Fitness (PE) only. Academic Summer School is free for qualifying students in grades 3-8. Local schools will communicate the following information about Summer School for elementary and middle school students:

Elementary and middle school students who need more time and opportunity to learn will have that option during Gwinnett’s free Academic Summer School, scheduled for June 13 to July 7, with no Fridays and a July 4 holiday. Qualifying students in grades 3–8 would be recommended for the 15-day session if they have not met promotion requirements. Parents of eligible students will be notified later this spring and given specifics about location and hours.
