A former North Gwinnett Middle School Assistant Principal has been recognized as one of the best assistant principals in the state. Jennifer Johnson, who is an assistant principal at Grace Snell Middle School this year, was named the 2019 Georgia Assistant Principal of the Year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals’ (GASSP). Johnson was nominated and honored while working as an assistant principal at North Gwinnett Middle.
North Gwinnett Middle School Principal Wanda Law is proud of her former colleague and says Johnson’s can-do attitude and willingness to grow and learn new things serves her well. She adds, “Jennifer Johnson is truly an instructional leader. She knows what it means to model and to be there for teachers.”
Each year, GASSP recognizes outstanding school leaders who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students and who have made exemplary contributions to the profession. The GASSP’s stated mission is to improve education by supporting secondary education administrative leaders.
